Charlotte J. Libchitz

Passed away at her Petaluma residence on September 11, 2013 at the age of 91 years. Loving mother of Linda Walton of Campbell, Roberta "Bert" Smith, and David Libchitz both of Petaluma. Survived by son-in-laws George D. Walton, and Adrian Smith, and grandson, George R. Walton of Redding as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was born, reared and educated in Sebastopol. Born to Amanda Belle and John Wright in 1922. She worked for the telephone company after high school and then later for Kaiser at the switchboard. Charlotte was an avid orchid collector, active at the Petaluma Estates mobile home park and a long time member of Hessel Church in Sebastopol. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hessel Church in Sebastopol, with a dessert reception following. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hessel Church, Building Fund, 5060 Hessel Ave., Sebastopol, CA 95476 or the Petaluma Animal Services Foundation, 860 Hopper St., Petaluma, CA 94952.
