Cheryl Lynn Kindle

January 4, 1959 — February 10, 2022

Cheryl Lynn Kindle was the second of seven daughters born to Jerry and Joan Christian. Born in Santa Rosa, she grew up in the small rural community of Graton CA. She was surrounded by a very large extended family in the area including grandparents, Ivan & Maureen Davis, Russel and Vashti Christian, and many aunts and uncles. She attended Pacific Christian Academy (PCA) in Graton CA. Her parents were also alumni of PCA and her grandparents were some of the early founding members of PCA. She cherished childhood memories of adventures and events shared with her sisters, cousin, and friends. Cheryl worked at many jobs including retail stores, a dental office, harvesting apples and berries, and processing seafood at Point St. George Fisheries. She obtained her real estate license and worked for Century 21 in Sebastopol. She was a longtime secretary for Pacific Christian Academy, and also served on the school board. Married to her husband Mike for 43 years, they built their family home on Ross Road in Graton (Sebastopol) where they raised their two wonderful sons Jason (Athena) and Jeremy (Katie). She was so proud of the fine men they became, and her wonderful daughters in law. Nothing can describe the joys of being the grandmother of five grandchildren. She is the adoring Nana to Austin, Madison, McKenna, Joseph, and Liam. She lost her older sister Michelle to breast cancer at a very young age. Now the oldest, she was so proud to see what confident and accomplished women her sisters Melody, Tracy, Robin, Candice, and Kimberly, have become. She enjoyed camping, and boating and spent many great trips with her family and friends all over northern CA. Most times were in the rugged forests with no facilities, just a tent, sleeping bags, cook stove, and many hours sitting around the campfire. She enjoyed many trips to Hawaii, the Caribbean, Cancun, and the Mexican Riviera. She also enjoyed trips to Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Graton Casino. She was a born organizer, and planner, and coordinated all the family vacations, trips, and events. She loved entertaining, and hosted a large gathering (40-50 family/friends) at her home every Easter with food, decorations, and a huge Easter Egg hunt. Cheryl is in her heavenly home now, welcomed by loved ones who have gone before. While we all will miss her terribly, we carry with us fond memories, and the huge impact and influence she had on our lives. Friends are invited to attend service Saturday February 19th at 1:00 pm at the Graton Church of Christ (corner of Brush & Donald streets) Graton CA.
