Christopher William Tobin

Christopher William Tobin, born 11/3/1961, died 12/26/2021 surrounded by his family. Chris was a loving husband of 26 years to Christy & proud father to Reilly, Caitlyn and Patrick. Brother to Michael (& Jody), Patricia (& Frank), Mary, & Anne (& Dan). Beloved uncle to thirteen nieces & nephews & grandfather to five. Chris grew up in Novato where he attended Our Lady of Loretto before graduating from St. Vincent de Paul High School (Class of 1980). He made a career as a plumber & was a proud member of Local 38 for 30 years, having spent a majority of his career with Broadway-Mechanical.  He settled in Petaluma with his family where he lived until his passing.

Known for his humor, unconditional friendship & trademark scratchy voice, Chris was loved by many.   A tremendous source of pride in Chris’ life was his family. He never missed an opportunity to support or get together with those he loved most. He valued being involved in community & could be heard reminiscing & laughing at local favorites Volpi’s, Traxx, or his home away from home, Clear Lake.  An avid sports lover, he coached CYO before moving on to his alma mater where he coached Freshman & JV boys’ basketball. He could also be seen at football games & baseball games with fellow alum showing his support for his beloved school community. Chris certainly made a mark on all who knew him & he will be missed by all who admired and respected him.

Services will be held Monday, January 3, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Reception to follow.
