Clemencio passed away due to natural causes at the age of 96 years old in Santa Rosa California. He was born and raised in a small town in Northern Spain by the name of Santa Maria del Campo located about 21 miles southwest of Burgos, Spain. He immigrated to the United States after World War ll from the Philippine Islands where he was educated and attended high school and college. While in the Philippines he met and married his first wife, Vinie Schrameck and moved to San Francisco where they had two children Mari Rose Martinez, now Mari Scheppler and Robert Edmund Martinez. Years later after divorce he would remarry Virginia Martinez and move to Corte Madera in Marin County where they had two children Tina Marie Martinez, now Tina Tuttle and Richard (Rick) Martinez. They remained in Marin County until 2013 where they moved to Rohnert Park and then for a short time, Santa Rosa California. They were married 58 years. Clemencio is survived by his 4 children and his grandchildren: Bobby Scheppler, Jenny Jones, Matthew Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Curtis Tuttle, Kelsey Tuttle, Cale Tuttle, Alexandria Martinez, Maddox Martinez, Marshall Martinez and 6 great grandchildren.
His interest were sports ( where he was an avid golfer), the 49ers, dancing, travel ( where Lake Tahoe and Hawaii were among his favorite destinations) and his family.
Clemencio had an infectious laugh and a charming way about him who was able to make friends with anyone including strangers. He had a competitive spirit in all that he did and a sincere love for his family.
He will forever be remembered by those that knew and loved him.
A celebration of his life will be held in his honor on Saturday January 14, 2017 at the Parent Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma Ca. at 11am.
