Cleora J. Dornan - Passed away in Petaluma, CA., August 6, 2009. Beloved wife of the late David J. Dornan, Adored mother of Jeanne (David) Dreikosen of Petaluma, Doris (Luis Pierce) Atkinson of San Francisco, Thomas (Laurie) Dornan of Portland, OR, Patricia (Chris) Jensen of Auburn, WA and the late Rena Markarian and Steve Dornan. Step-mother of Mike Dornan. Cherished grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 3 and great great grandmother of 1. Dear sister of Mildred Dougan of Arkansas and the late Rena Martin, Steve Milano, and Lloyd Milano. She learned to paint and was so proud to share her wonderful paintings with her family and select friends. Their homes will always display these beautiful reminders of her resilience and love. She loved the ocean, lighthouses, and she believed in angels. Her smile, her courage and her love will be forever missed. Those who were blessed to be among her family and friends are better people because of her. Friends and family are invited to a gathering in Celebration of her Life at her daughter Jeanne's home on Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please call for directions. Private committal services for the family will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward, CA. The family prefers memorials be made to Hospice of Petaluma. She was an amazing woman who touched so many lives with her courage, grace, and beautiful smile. She was an inspiration to all who were privileged to know her.
