Clifford Saul Reif

April 25, 1950 — May 11, 2026

Petaluma

Clifford Saul Reif, age 76, passed from this life, on May 11, 2026. A lifelong Petaluman, he was the son of the late Louis and Faye Reif.

Cliff spent almost 40 years as a local Realtor and was well known and loved by his clients and business associates. Cliff loved his yard and spent countless hours planting and caring for his flowers and plants. His true passion was cooking and he had a fabulous palette and could taste a dish from a restaurant and recreate the dish at home, often tastier than that prepared in the restaurant! Cliff was never a bragger, but rather the kind and quiet guy that would help anyone in need. Many years ago while traveling over the Golden Gate Bridge, he witnessed a woman jumping off the bridge…rather than just pass by, he stopped his car and ran to her aid. She landed on a side railing holding on and he reached down to help bring her to safety..she survived but never knew the name of the hero who saved her.

Cliff is survived by his wife Carole and their adored daughter Corinne. He is also survived by his brother Marc and his husband Mick, his loving sister in law Lynda, 3 nephews Daryn, Dion, and Trevor, great nieces Sarah, Alex, Desi, Delia, Nicolette, and Riley, great nephews Andrew, and Dominic, and 15 great great nieces and nephews who called him Unkie!

During Cliff’s brief illness, he received amazing care from Providence Hospice of Petaluma, and the family would like to acknowledge Jenna and Jules for their loving care, and all the other many nurses and workers that showed compassion and love for Cliff till the day he died and beyond. We are so grateful!

Cliff has been cremated and a true Celebration of Life will follow in the future.
