Cornelius Bertolone - "Corn" was born Jan.1,1908
in Cirie, Italy and departed Nov.13,2007 at the age of 99.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles
and Rose Bertolone, and 2 sisters, one brother and
his first wife of 46 years, Della Bertolone. He is survived
by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Bernice
Bertolone, His daughter and her husband, Cordell and Lennie
Silva, his step daughter and her husband Cheryl and Richard Macche,
his grandchildren, Ann DaPrato, Charolette Mitchell, Robert Macche,
5 great granchildren,and several nieces, newphews and cousins.
Cornelius Bertolone was an avid golfer all of his life,
and was an honorary lifetime member of Santa Rosa
Golf and Country Club. He won many club championships
in his younger days. When he was in his 80s he and his
wife, Bernice were featured in Golf Magazine, in an article about
how seniors also enjoy golf. During WWII he worked in
food distribution for Levy Zentner Produce Co. He was employed
there for over 25 years. Later he worked as an appraiser for
Great Western Bank where he retired. Corn was an avid reader.
He enjoyed reading novels and National Geographic Magazine.
He and Bernice traveled with the "Spirited Seniors." to many places
They also enjoyed relaxing in their beautiful flower garden.
