Roland went to be with our Lord and is survived by his wife of 53 years Edna “Ginger” Starr (née Sochocky), daughter Brenda (Dan Ball) Starr, son Roland H. Starr Jr., daughter Leslie (Monte Doyle) Richàrd, son Cdr. Ronald (Debbie) Brahm, brothers and sisters in-law Bettylou Sochocky, John “Pat” Sochocky, Ellen Rush, Bea (Art) Petrella, Stanley (Terry) Sochocky, Donna (Mark) Fisher, Rick (Ellen) Sochocky, grandsons Scott (Spencer) Starr, Cody Starr, Brian (Tara) Kohl, Christopher Brahm, granddaughter Jamie Kohl, great-granddaughters Clara Starr, and Brittanie and Brooke Kohl, and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents William and Edith Starr, his parents-in-law John and Edna Sochocky, his brother Ronald Starr, and granddaughter Marisa Brahm.

Services will be held February 27th at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory in Petaluma; visitation hours from 10 am to 1 pm, with services and interment immediately following. Reception to follow.
