KUESTER, DALE CARL - Passed away peacefully June 10, 2013 in Santa Rosa, CA, after a brief illness, just three weeks shy of his 92nd Birthday. Dale was born and raised in Nebraska. His attendance at Penn State College was cut short by his call to Military Service in the U.S. Army. Dale is survived by his wife, Helen, of fifty-six years, son; Robert (Marcy), daughter; Kathy (Ed), grandson; Greg (Leslie), granddaughter; Stacey (Jerry) and six beautiful great grandchildren; Lauren, Sam, Cade, Avery, Elle and Grayson. Dale was a gifted musician and played the trombone on mid-west dance bands for eight years. He has been a resident of Santa Rosa since 1960. He was employed in the construction trade until his retirement in 1983. Dale was a member of the American Legion Post 21, the VFW, Druids and the Redwood Good Sam's. Dale and Helen enjoyed many years of RV Travel. He was an avid fisherman and domino player. He never missed working the daily crossword puzzle.
At Dale's request, no services are planned. Family and friends will be invited to a Memorial Celebration at a later date. According to Dale's wishes, he will be inurned at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Dale's name are preferred to the charity of the donor's choice.
