Darryl Jay Smith

DARRYL JAY SMITH, 70 of Petaluma, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on November 10, 2018 unexpectedly following heart surgery.  Born March 28, 1948 in Modesto, CA to Lloyd "LJ" and Eliza "Vickie" (Rea). Loving husband of 43 years to Judy (Graham); devoted father to Trevor (Tawnya) and Sarah Moore (Jon); adored Granddad to six; and loyal brother to Don (Liz), Annie McEntire (John), and Derek.  Lived in Petaluma most of his life, PHS class of ‘66. Honorably served in U.S. Army ‘67-’70, stationed in Germany. Dedicated worker for 3 decades in the IT department for the federal government (GSA) in SF. Prioritized his life in favor of his family, church, and helping others.  Enjoyed gardening, traveling, watching soccer, music, and drinking coffee. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts and memories. Celebration of Life at Petaluma Valley Baptist Church: Saturday, November 17, 2018; 1:30pm.  Reception to follow.
