Daryl Neil Rossi, Sr. - ROSSI, DARYL NEIL, Sr." Entered into rest, at home, March 24, 2009 in Santa Rosa, CA. Dearly beloved father of three children: Janelle Bloyd, Christy Steiner and Daryl Rossi, Jr. Loving grandfather of five, and cherished great grandfather of two, all of Santa Rosa, CA. As a member of one of city"s oldest families, Daryl lived in Santa Rosa throughout his life, venturing into numerous enterprises that employed his well-known creative talents. Among them, he conceived, developed and produced a popular magazine, "Sonoma Scene," one of the first in the nation to focus specifically on a region"s culture and attributes, and in the creation of sales and marketing collateral for various wineries, sports entities, industrial and retail clients. In the 1980s, he was program director of the Luther Burbank Center (now the Wells Fargo Center) and, more recently, associate producer of the internationally syndicated radio show "Swingin" with Sinatra," in collaboration with local radio personality Steve Jaxon Vicario. Daryl was a member of the Italian-American Club and a lifelong member of St. Rose Catholic Church. He attended St. Rose Catholic School through his elementary years; he graduated in 1953 from Santa Rosa High School, where he participated and excelled in numerous sports. Daryl was also a star Baseball player with the USF Dons, and a member of the Santa Rosa Rosebuds baseball team. He remained an avid sports fan until his death at age 73. Daryl will be remembered for his dynamic personality and keen sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and family.
