They raised three children, Barry, Diana and Carol on the ranch. During the 50s and 60s, Dave owned and operated Healdsburg ReadyMix and Harmco Construction. In 1971, Dave sold the family's ranch and moved to Larkfield. In 1973, Dave and Bonnie bought another house nearby and founded H.O.M.E. In the 70s and 80s, Dave took union jobs and worked for Argonaut, Piombo, and Ghilloti as a grade checker and heavy equipment operator on many surrounding county. He was a man with many interests: flying (Paul Rued was his instructor, and he became one of many "Rued's flyboys"), photography, breeding dogs, water beds, grandfather clocks, computerized embroidery, camping and RVing, ocean fishing, harmonicas and other instruments, and large fundraisers. He was a collector of many things, and loved playing the stock market. After retirement, he and Bonnie traveled throughout the U.S., went to Israel, and took a cruise through the Panama Canal. He was a past member of Healdsburg Federated Church, Christian Life Center, and the Santa Rosa Bible Church, where he served in its groundbreaking. Dave was always ready to help his church and friends. He was a resident of Sonoma County for 89 years, and known to many. He will be missed by family and friends. He is survived by his children Barry Harmeson (Sheena), Diana L. Duggan (Steve), and Carol A. Harmeson; grandchildren Yendimie Malone Chesley, Daniel Harmeson (Christy), and Amy R. Williams (Morgan); and ten great-grandchildren. Dave is buried in the Harmeson family plot at Oak Mound Cemetery in Healdsburg.
