David Wright - David Wright passed away peacefully in his Petaluma residence on January 9, 2010 with his family at the bedside and his beloved Jack Russell Terriers, Fudgie and Flash, on the bed beside him. Loving husband of Ruth Wright of Petaluma. Loving and proud father of Michael (Susan) Wright of VA, Diana (Yogi) McIntosh of Pt. Richmond, Lauri Powers of Redding, Dave (Debbie) Chadwick of Fairfield, and Karen (Nick) Campbell of FL. Cherished grandfather of Trevor and Dylan Wright of VA, Stephanie Bartels of Petaluma and Kimberly Jones of Redding, Alyssa Willis, Tara and Jack Campbell all of FL. Great-grandfather of Mylitia Burrows, Christina and Gabriel Evenson, Redding, CA. Dear brother of Darryl (Robin) Wright of Oakland and preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Wright and his nephew Daniel Wright. Survived by several nieces and nephews, including Janet Martin and Eric Wright.
Dave was born in San Rafael, CA and graduated from San Rafael High School in 1957. He served in the US Air Force where he met his wife, Ruth, and afterward worked as a mechanic in San Rafael, then for AT&T until retirement. He was a '49er Faithful' long before it became fashionable, a loyal Giants and Warriors fan, and loved all sorts of sports. He loved fishing, never wanted to be far away from the Pacific Ocean, and considered the San Francisco Bay Area the perfect place to live. He was an avid bowler, fisherman, story-teller, lover of country music, and loyal patron of Water Street Bistro and Mi Pueblo.
