Deborah Ann Myers

October 13, 1951 — May 19, 2016

DEBORAH ANN MYERS passed away on May 19, 2016 in San Francisco. Devoted wife of Jack Myers of Petaluma. Cherished mother of Cynthia Myers Paigen (David) of San Jose and James Myers (Michele) of Rohnert Park. Beloved grandmother of Samone, Tabitha, Sabrina, Connor, and Alycia. Dear step-sister of Francesca Giulino. Deborah was born in Newark, NJ, but reared and educated in Toms River. It was there she met and married the love of her life, Jack. As Jack was in the US Navy, they traveled around the US and finally settled in Petaluma in 1986. She worked as a teacher's aide at Tomales High School, but upon earning her MS at Dominican College in special education, she began teaching at Petaluma High School. Deborah then started teaching special education at Maria Carrillo High School. Being charismatic, she was very well-liked and admired by her students and fellow teachers: all who met her loved her. An avid sports fan, Deborah never missed a 49ers or A's game. She also had a passion for anything Disney. Above all else, Deborah loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were her whole life. She was a wonderful woman; she will be greatly missed.
