Dennis Gene Barnes

Dennis Gene Barnes - Passed away at age 62 on July 28, 2009 in Sacramento. A native of Ottawa, KS, born April 24, 1947 to Elta Mae and Robert Eugene Barnes. He attended schools in Ottawa. Dennis joined the Navy from 1966 to 1970 attaining the rank of Petty Officer Second Class serving during the Vietnam War. He was trained and skilled in upholstery work by his father and could accomplish any job that he was challenged with. His last employment was with Four Wheel Campers in Woodland where he upholstered interiors for camper shells. Dennis was employed with the government as a rigger/diver for 30 years working at Mare Island Naval Shipyard and Bremerton Naval Shipyard and finally retiring in 2004.
