Scafidi, Diane Alice Born May 11th, 1953, Diane passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 30, 2021. Her illness was brief. Born in San Francisco to the late Salvatore and Alice Scafidi, Diane graduated from Mill’s High School in 1972. They moved to Petaluma in 1981 to be closer to family. Diane worked for McDonald’s and Mrs. Grossman’s Sticker Factory, later transferring to NBI in Rohnert Park until she retired. Diane was a sweet and loving lady with a huge heart and an infectious smile. She was always so joyful and welcoming every time she entered a room. Greeting you with ”Hi Doll” putting a smile on anyone who came across her. She loved socializing and didn’t miss an event. Diane lived independent, successfully with the help of the Becoming Independent Agency and some special ladies Coco, Yasmine, Deafone and Brandee. Her days were spent going to Senior Program followed by Group Activity or bowling in the evenings. She was an avid bowler, makeup enthusiast, and loved all things with beauty. Most Saturday’s, Diane spent her time going to the mall to meet her longtime friend Darwin for a little shopping and lunch. She is survived by: her sister Jean Miller (late John); Aunty Nancy Centanni; niece Cheri (Steve) Sankoff; great-nephews and nieces Christopher, Kierra, Stephen and Craig Sankoff; Jacob and Olivia Morenzoni, Beau and Jane Miller; great-great niece Mila Sankoff and numerous cousins.
A Vigil Service will be held at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory in Petaluma on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 6 p.m. Donations may be made in Diane’s honor to- Becoming Independent 1455 Corporate Center Pkwy. Santa Rosa, CA 95407 or Petaluma Hospice 416 Payran St. Petaluma, CA 94952
