Dianne Mahacek Rossiter

Dianne Mahacek Rossiter - Passed away in San Francisco on Monday, September 24, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Devoted mother of Frances Rossiter of Windsor, Steven Rossiter and his wife Sheri Scott of Santa Rosa, and Matt Rossiter of Windsor. Cherished grandmother of Cara Scott and Logan Rossiter Voight-Anderson. Loving sister of Mary Gould (Robin) of San Jose, Kathleen Mahacek of Fulton, Richard Mahacek (Susan) of Merced, and Virginia Mahacek of Incline Village, NV. Survived by numerous treasured cousins, nieces, and nephews. She completed two half marathons with 'Team in Training' and four with 'Light the Night' walks. She was also on the planning committee for the 'Light the Night' in Santa Rosa, all in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She relished planning and celebrating reunions with her high school classmates. A Vigil will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Resurrection Parish, 303 Stony Point Rd., Santa Rosa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 8400 Old Redwood Hwy., Windsor. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Redwood Wine Country Branch, 555 5th St., Suite 320, Santa Rosa, 95401. Dianne was born in San Francisco to Mary and Oliver Mahacek. They moved to Sonoma County in the late 40's. Dianne graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1963 and then San Jose State University in 1968. She was the Controller at various wineries: Windsor/Sonoma Vineyards, Cakebread Cellars, Belvedere, and Peter Michael.
