Don Hoard - Don Hoard passed away peacefully at his Petaluma residence on April 21, 2008. Beloved husband of Marilyn Hoard of Petaluma. Dear father of Michele (Jayson) Anderson, Maureen Mitchell, Marci Hoard, Don Hoard, and Bobbi Hoard. Cherished grandfather of Nate Peters, Nicole (Andrew) Wood, Paula Mitchell, Megan Kellogg, Forest Kellogg, and Emily, Adam and Colin Hoard. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and brother and sister-in-laws. He was an active and vital man who enjoyed his retirement years traveling with Marilyn throughout the United States in their RV, visiting family and old friends. Don was a much loved "Dad""" to a great many people--his integrity influenced his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and so many others. "" A "Celebration of Don's Life""" will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Noon at the Petaluma Elk's Lodge #901, 2105 S. McDowell Blvd., Petaluma, CA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952."" Don attended Sacred Heart High School and the University of San Francisco. During the early 70â??s Don was very influential in bringing (PYSL) youth soccer to Petaluma; garnering soccer fields, coaching and refereeing.
