Born on November 3, 1931, Don was reared and educated in Sonoma County. As a child, he was interned with his family at Amache Relocation Camp in Colorado. Don served in the National Guard and attended the Santa Rosa JC auto mechanic certification program. As a certified mechanic, he worked for various auto dealerships in Santa Rosa and for 15 years as an auto mechanic for the County of Sonoma Fleet Operations. Don was an avid gardener, growing beautiful chrysanthemums and tasty vegetables. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family. We will miss his wonderful stories and wry humor.
