Donald P. Lombardi - Passed away at home in Petaluma, CA, Wednesday, January 20, 2010, beloved husband of Sandy Lombardi. Loving father of Janine McDonald of Corona del Mar, CA and Donna (Rick) Chelemedos of Petaluma. Step father of Jamie (Todd) Eisenhauer of Windsor and Hudson (Lori) Clarke of Petaluma. Cherished grandfather of Danielle Eisenhauer, Nico Lombardi, Hailey Eisenhauer, Kenzie Chelemedos, Bailey Chelemedos, Connor McDonald, Dante Ratto, Cody Clarke, and Evan Clarke. Loving son of Bruno (Marilyn) Lombardi of Petaluma and the late Evelyn Lombardi. Adored brother of Janet (Steve) Bastoni of Santa Rosa, Claudia (Harold) Bettinelli of Petaluma and the late Michael Lombardi. Donald was a well known Petaluma businessman, working and later owning and operating the family business, Lombardi's Petaluma French Bakery for over 20 years. After leaving the bakery, he traveled with family for a time prior to becoming a co-owner of Petaluma Market when it opened in 1987. He retired in the mid 1990's for several years until returning as a baker for Petaluma Market. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed outings to Clearlake and family gatherings. Family and friends are invited to attend the Vigil Service, Monday, January 25, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA. Family and friends will also gather on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at St. Vincent de Paul Church for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. The family prefer memorials be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952.
