Donald O'Mohundro

Donald O'Mohundro - Passed away on December 9, 2008 in Petaluma surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Audrey Waters-O'Mohundro of Petaluma. Cherished father of Robert Waters (Sarah) of Ada, OH and Kenneth Waters-O'Mohundro (Jomjai) of Petaluma. Beloved grandfather of Alex, Spencer, Donald, and Robbie. Adored and devoted son of the late Mildred and Col. Wiley O'Mohundro. Loving brother of June Beltrametti (George), David O'Mohundro (Jo Ann), and predeceased by his infant brother John O'Mohundro. Donald was born in Oswego, NY, but reared and educated in Sonoma County. When Don was a child, his father transferred from Osaka, Japan to Two Rock Ranch Station to act as Commanding Officer while under the Army Security Agency. Four years later, the family moved to Petaluma. Don owned Eagle Motors in Santa Rosa for many years, but retired from the Hansel Corporation in 1999. He loved to travel, but his favorite pastime was golf. Don was a member and past president of the Petaluma Golf & Country Club. Omo was 7-time club champion at the PG&CC earning the distinct honor of having the tournament trophy named for him: The Don O'Mohundro Club Championship Memorial Trophy. He made 5 hole-in-ones, but his proudest moment was when he achieved the elusive double eagle on the ninth hole at PG&CC.
