DONALD POPP passed away peacefully at his home on August 1st, 2016. He was 91 years old. Don was the devoted husband of Marjorie Popp for 68 years. He was born May 30th 1925, in Petaluma to Lawrence and Ann Popp. He was a US Army Tank Core Veteran that proudly served his country in World War II. After the war he married his beloved Margie. He worked for the Petaluma Chevrolet dealership and became a highly skilled auto body repairman.
Don was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. After retirement Don blessed so many by using his many woodworking and fix-it talents to help relatives, friends and neighbors. He was a lifelong member of St. Vincent's parish.
Don was preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence "Larry" Popp (Kay) and Lester "Bud" Popp (Franny) and his parents. He is survived by his wife Marjorie and a host of nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces who loved him dearly. Don will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
