DORA V. ALEJOS passed away on June 20, 2014 in Petaluma. Devoted wife of the late Juan Alejos. Father of John Alejos (Megan) of Santa Rosa, Mike Alejos (Laurie) of Petaluma, Pam Dutton (Fred) of ID, Jaime Alejos (Patti) of San Rafael, Martin Alejos (Abby) of San Diego, and the late Joe Alejos. Beloved grandmother of sixteen and great-grandmother of five. Loving sister of Georgina, Mary, Toni, Ignacia, Gilbert, and Jorge; predeceased by two sisters and four brothers. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Age: 81 years.
Dora was born, reared and educated in Lyford, TX. She and her family moved to Petaluma in 1964 where she has resided ever since. She worked very hard to raise her six children, and she was very active in their lives. She taxied her children (and grandchildren) all over town to practices and games and was their biggest fan. There wasn't a referee or an umpire who did not know her. Dora also loved to cook. Her biggest claim to fame was her enchiladas and they were the first to go at school fundraisers. She even took plates of enchiladas to the Oakland Raiders training camp in Santa Rosa where her friend, Gene Upshaw, looked forward to her visits and tasty treats. But, her greatest love was for her family. Dora was a wonderful woman; she will be deeply missed.
