Dorene Lucinda Denton

Dorene Lucinda Denton - Dorene Lucinda Denton was born in Alma, Michigan on July 20, 1913 and passed away on April 22, 2011. She was the daughter of Mary Louise and Lawrence Downing. During World War II, she worked in a Michigan factory that made plane parts. Mrs. Denton moved to California in 1950 and worked for Leigh Shoemaker in the retail industry until 1959. In 1960, she worked as the manager at Jay Vee until the store closed in 1977. As of March 2011, Mrs. Denton celebrated 65 years with the Order of the Eastern Star.
