Dorothea Garaventa

At rest in Petaluma, CA, June 16, 2021, dearly beloved wife of the late Louis Garaventa. Loving mother of Carole Taylor and Carla O’Neill. Dear mother-in-law of Stephen Taylor and Daniel O’Neill. Cherished grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 15. She was always happiest in their company.

She was born in San Francisco, CA on December 23,1920 to the late Joseph and Victoria Daneri. Dorothea was educated at St. Brigid’s Elementary School and Girls High School, where she took every class involving fashion.

She was a partner, office manager and secretary with her beloved husband, Louis Garaventa at their company, Novato Disposal Service. She and her husband enjoyed dancing, traveling and entertaining. She will be looking down and smiling as she goes to a better place.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 10th at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Vincent’s Church, Petaluma, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to St. Vincent School for Boys.
