Dorothy Ilene "Dottie" Biancalana - Passed away peacefully at home in Rohnert Park, CA, December 12, 2010, surrounded by her family following a courageous 18 month battle against cancer. Beloved wife of the late Sam Biancalana. Adored mom to Michael Biancalana, Barbara Biancalana, Edward (Leann) Biancalana, Marla (Jeff) Wiecks, Paula Biancalana and Michele Weingand. Cherished grandma to Joshua and Vanessa Biancalana, Brady Biancalana, Joey, Nicole and Talia Wiecks, Jessica and Austin Weingand. Loving sister of Michael (Janet) Williams and Jeanne (Tony) Rambonga. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma. Entombment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Sutter-VNA Hospice (www.suttervnaandhospice.org) who were instrumental in helping the family through this difficult time. A native of San Francisco, CA. Age 69 years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Dottie, a 33 years resident of Sonoma County worked many years in retail for Mervyns in Petaluma. Following retirement she returned to work as a crossing guard at Meadow School in Petaluma where she was well loved.
