Dorothy "Dottie" West

Dorothy Mae "Dottie" West, 92, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2017 in Petaluma. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Dorothy had touched throughout her long life. Dorothy grew up in Mill Valley and was a beauty salon owner before moving to Petaluma. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing bingo, visiting local casinos, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husbands, Davis Norton in 1983 and Robert West in 1999. Dorothy is survived by her children Rod Norton and his partner Louise Loeber, Nancy Cusimano and her husband Gary and Kenneth West and his wife Eve. She also leaves behind five beloved grandchildren David, Todd, Michael, Kristy and Brandon; and nine great-grandchildren. For those who knew her she will be remembered in the same way she led her life, with love and kindness. The family is grateful to Hospice of Petaluma and Mary King and the staff at "Our House" for their kind and compassionate care. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Pkwy., Petaluma. Entombment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to Hospice of Petaluma. Funeral Mass
