Douglas Kent Karr

Douglas K. Karr passed away September 8, 2025 after a three-year battle with lung cancer. He was born July 23, 1952 in LeMars, Iowa. Preceded in death by his parents Weston and Edna Karr and mother-in-law Eda Tomasetti.

Douglas is survived by Linda, his best friend and loving wife of 43 years. Children Kari and Rich Van Dam, Kory and Lisa Karr, all in Iowa. 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Brother of Kendall and Karen Karr, of Iowa. Brother-in-law of Peter and Cathy Tomasetti of Petaluma. Nephews John and Dave Karr of Iowa.

In 1978 Douglas moved from Iowa to California. A true craftsman, he spent most of his life in the construction trades. He enjoyed playing golf with his buddies. An avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and alumni of the University of Iowa. Douglas was a faithful 49er fan and loved watching games with friends.

Honoring his wishes no services will be held.
