Ed was born March 23, 1965 in Petaluma and passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2018. He is survived by his fiancee Kate, his children Rachel and Ed, his siblings Chris and Amy, his aunt Donna, a large extended family and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda and his grandparents Earl and Mary.
The only thing bigger than his heart was his love for his family. Ed had incredible presence, an incomparable sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Ed was the kind of person that once you met him, you never forgot him. Ed had a passion for fishing. He also loved baseball and played semi-pro ball as a young man. Ed then became a beloved coach for several Santa Rosa youth teams. Ed was a die-hard Raiders fan. He was a great cook and a master on the grill. He loved music and would make up his own lyrics, often singing in one of his many great impersonated voices. His passing has left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.
Please join us to honor Ed's life on Tuesday, September 11th at 11 am at St. Vincent's Church in Petaluma. A reception will follow after services at 1208 West St, Petaluma. There will be a vigil Monday, September 10th from 5-8 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma.
