Eda Sartori

Eda Sartori - Our beloved mother, Eda Sartori, passed away at age 91 on May 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Sartori, brothers Louis and Silvio Stefenoni and sister Lily Robinson. Eda was born in Hicks Valley on January 10, 1920 to Lui and Erminia Stefenoni. Eda attended Petaluma schools and lived her entire lifetime in Petaluma. In 1940 she married the late Ralph H. Sartori and together they operated the notable Cream Cup Dairy on Casa Grande Road in Petaluma. She and Ralph had four children: Shirley (Tim) Sullivan of Santa Rosa; Barbara (Richard) Thomas of Healdsburg; Ralph L. (Teresa) Sartori of Petaluma; Duane (Cindy) Sartori of Petaluma. Eda was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Patrick (Leslie) Sullivan of Virginia and their four children; Michele (Dan) Shoemaker of San Diego and their two children; Kerry (Scotty) Friend of Cayucos and their daughter; Mara (Paul) Georgiadis of Adelaide, Australia and their two children; Richard (Tina) Thomas of Cloverdale and their two children; Michael Thomas of Clovis; Sean (Denise) Thomas of Cloverdale; DeAnn (Henri) Sarlatte of Petaluma and their two children; Ralph (Jenna) Sartori of Cotati and their two children; Amy (Leon) Hath of El Nido and their two children; Angela (Andrew) Riley of Petaluma and their two children; and Janel (Gabe) Nahas of Rohnert Park. Friends and family are invited attend the Memorial Mass, Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Pkwy, Petaluma. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma followed by the Vigil Service at 7:00 PM at St. James Church. There will be a private family burial prior to the 11:00 AM Mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma, CA 94954 or to Hospice By The Bay, 190 West Napa Street, Sonoma, CA 95476. Edaâ??s family would like to thank her wonderful caregiver Sera, Marisha Chilcott, M.D., and Hospice By The Bay for the respect, loving care, and friendship they provided to our mother. Eda will be missed by family, friends, her sheep, and her garden. Eda was a member of St. James Catholic Church, St. Vincent Motherâ??s Club, Catholic Ladies Aid Society, Native Daughters of the Golden West, and Sonoma County Cow Belles.
