Edith C. Forno

Edith C. Forno - Born June 18, 1919 in Spokane Washington, to Swedish parents John and Anna Carlson, Edith lived all but three years of her life in Sonoma County. Edith loved gardening, volunteering at the Sacks store with her Monday morning group and was always ready to go to the casinos for some fun. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Petaluma, California School Employees Association and a honorary lifetime member of the PTA. Her family would like to thank her caregivers Bui, Ivonne and Lucy for their loving care. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Petaluma,416 Payran St., Petaluma CA 94952. Private graveside services for the immediate family have been planned. Edith attended Cinnabar Elementary School graduating from Petaluma High School in 1937 where she was proud to be class secretary. After graduation, Edith went to work at the Presidio of San Francisco and Hamilton Air Force Base. Later in life she began working at Petaluma High School, which was one of her greatest joys.
