Edith V. Spillers

Edith V. Spillers - Born March 27, 1916 in Santa Rosa to Erle and Cora Temple. Died August 27, 2012 in Sebastopol after a short illness. Edith graduated from Analy High School in 1934, attended SRJC and Beauty College. She was an avid reader, lifelong Dodgerâ??s fan, loved her knitting, her roses and begonias and in her earlier days held a private pilotâ??s license. She was Past President and a member for over 50 years of Chapter MH, PEO Sisterhood and a life member of Gold Ridge Star Chapter #161, OES. Edith and her husband, Ray L. Spillers, who pre-deceased her in 2003, were partners in the Oâ??Leary Funeral Home for many years before retiring to West Santa Rosa and finally to Windsor where she resided until her passing. She is survived by her children, Nancy Stange (Roger) of Kelseyville, Kay Banks (Sam) of Sebastopol and Jon Spillers (Laura) of Trinidad. She leaves four grandchildren Jeff Stange (Patty Kline) of Vancouver, WA, Lorre Stange (Beth Norman) of Willits, Susan Knappen (David) of Penn Valley and Marc Qvist (Rosa) of Santa Rosa. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Mariah Stange (Andrew Plassmeyer) of Sacramento, Clara Knappen and Jackson Knappen both of Penn Valley and Alexis Qvist of Santa Rosa.
