Edward (Eddy) Elmo Benedetti born February 2, 1948 in Petaluma, California to Aloha and Walter Benedetti, passed peacefully at home on Stage Gulch Road with Karen, his loving wife, by his side on June 26, 2022. Eddy graduated from Petaluma High School, went on to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and continued his education at Santa Clara Law School. As eldest son of an agricultural family he was instrumental in creating the development of the Benedetti Farms Inc and the initiation of the pre-Willie Bird Turkey project. He had a winning smile, generosity of spirit, and was known and loved by many people. He was a man of ethics, love of family, and successful at anything he endeavored to do. His love of travel took him all over the world. He had an acute business sense. He was a true visionary. He was the motivation and inspiration for the acquisition of several Benedetti properties in Sonoma Valley, Valley Ford, Sebastopol, Napa, and Schellville smoking plant on Maffei Road. Edward is predeceased by his mother Aloha Ann (Corda) Benedetti, his father Walter Edward Benedetti, and his brother William (Willie)) Benedetti. He is survived by his brother Riley Benedetti, wife Karen Neely Benedetti, nephews Arthur Benedetti and Aaron Benedetti. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at Parent Sorensen Mortuary, 850 Keokuk, Petaluma, California. A celebration of life to follow at Hotel Petaluma 205 Kentucky St, Petaluma, California. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Pet's Lifeline, 19686 Eighth St. East, Sonoma, California 95476.
