Edwin John Philipp - PHILIPP, EDWIN JOHN" Entered into rest, January 29, 2010 in Santa Rosa, CA. Dearly beloved father of Mary Ellen (Richard A.) Alesci of Novato, CA. Adored grandfather of Richard T. (Leonie) Alesci of Sacramento, CA. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A native of Rochester, NY, age 90 years. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty years, Mary Helen (Keegan) Philipp, as well as his sister; Julia Avenel and brother; Walter Philipp. Edwin is a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired photographic engineer of the Eastman-Kodak Company. As a past member of Star of the Valley Catholic Church, Edwin once served there as a Eucharistic Minister. Edwin will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, as well as a thoughtful and caring friend to many.
