Elaine Margaret Cerini

Elaine Margaret Cerini died peacefully in Santa Rosa, California on June 28, 2016. She passed away, as a result of a stroke, surrounded by loving family members. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years Art Cerini. She was the loving mother of Arthur J. (Sharon) Cerini Jr. of Blue Lake, Sandra L. Williams (deceased), Elaine (Bob) Dolcini of Etna, CA, Susan (Bob) Falco of Santa Rosa, and John (Rene) Cerini of Petaluma. She was the cherished grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of and 27. She was the daughter of John Fortunati (deceased) and Margaret Fortunati who passed away at a very young age of 26 years old. She was lovingly raised by her step mother Evelyn Fortunati. She was the sister of Donald (deceased) and Kenneth (deceased) Fortunati. She was born and grew-up in Santa Rosa, CA and she attended St. Rose Catholic School. Her adult life was committed to being a loving mother to her five children. Her most significant pleasure in life was spending time with, sharing her love for, and giving advice to her many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the matriarch of her family and truly loved by all. Although, she always reserved a little time to test her skills at the casinos where she seemed to have the knack of picking winning machines. Family and close friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA. Visitation for family and close friends will be held at the mortuary on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Entombment to be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Petaluma. The family prefers memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or your favorite Hospice organization. Funeral Service
