Elaine Frances Cheda Passed away peacefully at her home on July 25, 2026 at the age of 94. Born in Petaluma, the daughter of Peter & Gladys Cheda on February 17, 1932 with her twin brother Leroy who preceded her in death in 1992. She lived her entire life on the family dairy. She fully embraced the life of a farmer’s daughter; helping on the family dairy, milking cows and later working 35 years for Petaluma Farms. Her free time was spent doing the things she enjoyed most; gardening, league bowling with her friends, hunting with her family, and never missing the opportunity to play cards or attend gatherings with her family and dear friends.

Elaine had many friends, especially Grace. They enjoyed hunting, summer BBQs and going out with friends for lunch & dinner. Elaine also enjoyed spending time with Grace’s family, as she was treated as a family member.

“Boots” Dee, Lucky is survived by and will be greatly missed by her nieces & nephews. Leroy Cheda Jr.(Cindy), LaDonna Swallow (Mike), Loretta Gutendorf (Ray), Larry Cheda (Jill) Greg Cheda (Barb Brooks) Tim Cheda (Edie) & our late brother Kevin Cheda. 15 great nieces & nephews 16 great-great nieces & nephews whose lives she was a big part of. After the passing of our parents that left Elaine, who had no children, became the matriarch of our family.

Elaine also was a life-long member at St. James Catholic Church and member of the North Bay Dairy Women. Her family would also like to thank her many caregivers over the last few years.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Visitation at 10:00 am and the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm on Thursday July 30, 2026, at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk Street in Petaluma.
