Eleanor Bertone

Eleanor "Tootsie"" Bertone - Passed away peacefully in her home on Dec 30th at the age of 99. Predeceased by her adoring husband of 59 years, John Bertone. Although she had no children of her own, she was a second mother to her devoted nieces and nephews, Roslyn Bock, Frank Varni (deceased)(Donna), Deana Ratto (Jim), Leonida Ivanetich (Richard), Michael Bracco, Linda Mahoney (Michael), Richard Bracco (Nancy), Fred Rattaro (Pam), Paul Varni, Carol Bracco, as well as 23 great nieces and nephews, 29 great great nieces and nephews and 5 great great great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thur, Jan 5th at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 4595 Snyder Ln., Rohnert Park, followed immediately by a luncheon reception. Family and friends are also invited to attend a committal service on at 11:00 am on Friday, Jan 6th at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 1500 Mission Rd., Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tootsieâ??s memory to St. Judeâ??s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis TN 38105 or Hanna Boys Center, PO Box 100, Sonoma CA 95476. Native of San Francisco, she lived there all but the last 15 years when she moved to Sonoma County. Graduate of Commodore High School in SF.
