Elinor Louise Moneymaker - Passed away on November 11, 2007 in San Rafael. Wife of the late William B. Moneymaker. Cherished mother of Admiral Patrick Moneymaker, Retired; Kathleen Moneymaker; Paul Moneymaker; and Marian Ellis. Adored grandmother of Kimberley Moneymaker, Mathew Moneymaker, Sara Andrzejewski, Rebecca Crudale, Jonathan Moneymaker, Jasmin Moneymaker, Destiny Tsunami, Chantal Lamberto, Jacquline Lamberto, Amanda Moneymaker-Erikson, and Rebecca Moneymaker. Beloved great-grandmother of Daniel, Mathew, Wyatt, Aidan, Owen, CJ, Lyla, Charlotte , Nehalem, Isaiah and Isabelle. Dear sister of Marjorie McKean, Bill Cornell, and the late John Runcie and Dave Tuel. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Elinor was born in Lakeport, but reared and educated in Marin and Sonoma Counties, graduating from Analy High School. She graduated from St. Joseph College of Nursing in 1943 and later received her BS in Nursing from UCB. Elinor distinguished herself as a nurse and worked in a broad practice, including obstetrics, intensive care, recovery, in service education, as well as nursing supervisor, finally retiring in 1984 from Vesper Memorial Hospital in San Leandro as the Director of Nursing. In her spare time, Elinor enjoyed gardening, traveling, music, photography, and learning-continuing her education whenever she could, but most of all she enjoyed encouraging and nurturing her precious relationships with family and friends. Elinor loved the outdoors, especially the ocean. She will always be remembered for her incredible sense of humor and uncanny ability to be on top of her game. Above all else, however, Elinor loved her family. Her passion for nursing and care giving traversed into her family life. Elinor was always there for them.
