Ellen D. Brians

Passed away peacefully July 9, 2015. Ellen was born in 1923 in Petaluma and was a life-long resident on Kastania Ranch. She attended Lincoln Primary,Philip Sweed and Petaluma High School. She was much loved and will be deeply missed by her beloved children, Keith Brians (Arlene), Ken Brians (Marta) and Kathleen Faris (David), grandsons Ty Schacherl,Todd Schacherl,Benjamin Brians, Kirk Faris, and granddaughters Heidi Brians, Jill Brians, Kelsea Diaz and Katrina Faris as well as great-grandsons Tucker, Gavin, Noah, Oryn, Skye, Manuel, Miguel, Oliver, great-granddaughters Eva, Laila, Maggi, Louise and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Rasmus and Otilia and her brothers Arnold and Harry. She loved gardening, baking and sharing meals with family and friends. Ellen was a board member and volunteer at the Aldersly Garden Retirement Home in San Rafael and a long-time member of both the Petaluma United Methodist Church and the Danish Soldiers Club of California. A Memorial Service for Ellen will be held on Thursday, August 6 at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church, 410 D Street, Petaluma, California 94952.
