Ellen "Nanny" Mora

Passed away at home in Forestville, CA, November 24, 2016 at the age of 98. She was the wife of the late Clemente B. Mora. Cherished mother of Clemente C. Mora (Jerri) of Laytonville, James L. Mora (Ginger) of Kelseyville, Mary Ellen Schultz of Lower Lake and Maureen Rose Mora-Agius (James L. Jr.) of Santa Rosa. Beloved grandmother of 13; great grandmother of 21 and great great grandmother of 7. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Susan Carlin, Rosie Kirkland, James Carlin, Phillip Carlin and Maggie Johnson. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A lifelong resident of Sonoma County, "Nanny" was born in Windsor where she was reared and educated, graduating from Healdsburg High School. She married Clemente Mora on January 8, 1939 in Healdsburg and he passed away in 1964. An active member of the Forestville community, she managed the dining site for the Council on Aging for 18 years. Ellen was also named "Citizen of the Year" in Forestville in 1992. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY-SEBASTOPOL, 301 So. Main St., Sebastopol, with the Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Family and friends are also invited to the Funeral Liturgy, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN. Entombment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa, CA. The family prefers memorials of floral tributes or donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Vigil Service
