Elsie Elizabeth Volker - Passed away at home in Petaluma, CA., November 29, 2007, beloved wife of the late Arnold H. Volker. Loving mother of Leonard Volker and his wife, Sue, Dean Volker and his wife, LeeAnn all of Petaluma, Raymond J. Volker and his wife, Pam of San Diego. Cherished grandmother of Eldean, Stuart, Candace, Alicia, Christopher, Lori, Erica and the late Michelle. Loving step grandmother of Steven, Christopher and Melinda. Great grandmother of 9. Beloved sister of Meta Hansen of Fremont, Nebraska. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Elsieâ??s longtime caregiver, Lavenia Bokasara. Mrs. Volker, a native of Scribner, Dodge County, Nebraska was 98 years of age. A sixty year resident of Petaluma, she was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, St. Vincentâ??s YLI #108 and the Petaluma Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, baking and square dancing. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy, Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Magnolia Ave. and Keokuk St. Petaluma. Visitation will begin after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday. Committal will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. The family prefers memorials be made to Hospice of Petaluma or to St. Vincent de Paul Church.
