Elvina J. Giacomelli - Elvina Giacomelli passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 5, 2009. Beloved wife for 63 years to the late Peter Giacomelli. Cherished mother of Sandra Soldate of Petaluma and the late Barbara Bladen. Loving mother-in-law of Jim Soldate and the late Ron Bladen. Adored grandmother of Shelly Ronan and her husband Pat, Lori Bianchini and her husband Tony, Stephanie Turl and her husband Chris, and Brian Bladen and his wife Angela. She will be missed by her darling great-grandchildren; Hailey Ronan, Madison Bianchini, Lucas and Dalon Bladen. Dear sister of the late Elmo Garzelli, Elsie Garzelli and Eleanor Tobin. Survived by two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA. Entombment: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. Born in Novato, CA on March 30, 1921 to Josephine and Clemente Garzelli. A past board member of Union Joint School District, the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Sons of Italy, Italian Catholic Federation, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and North Bay Dairy Women. She was actively involved with the Dairy Princess Ball for 25 years.
