Elvira S. Fiorentino passed away on April 26, 2026 in Petaluma at the age of 57 years. Devoted daughter of the late Mafalda Fiorentino of Petaluma and the late Gennaro Fiorentino. Beloved sister of Caterina Fiorentino (Dominique Toulon) and the late Raffaele Fiorentino. Adored aunt of Julian Toulon. Loving niece of Walchiria Ceraldi, Michele Ceraldi, and the late Antonio, Paolo, Giuseppe, Mario, Angelo, and Nicola Ceraldi; Giuseppe Fiorentino, Caterina Fiorentino Lombari, and Lucia Fiorentino Guida. Survived by numerous cousins in Italy and Ohio.

Elvira was born in San Francisco and moved with her family to Petaluma at the age of 8 years. She graduated from St. Vincents high school. She attended La Sapienza University in Rome Italy where she earned a degree in Languages. She was fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, and French. She then came back to the States where she enrolled in the pre-Med program at Sonoma State University and earned a B.S. in Biology in 1994. She went on to attend University of the Pacific, Aurthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry where she earned her D.D.S. in 1998. Over the course of her career, Elvira devoted herself to serving the community. Her life’s work was dedicated to caring for communities that were often underserved and overlooked. She served many years as the Dental Director and Chief Dental officer at Alliance Medical Center in Healdsburg, Ca and was Clinical Director at Rohnert Park Healthcare Center. She received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the United States Congress in 2014 for her outstanding commitment to supporting healthy communities. Most recently she was Group Practice Leader at Aurthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry where her role as Faculty Co-director and Mentor for Scope was close to heart as she was able to mentor her students in recognizing their responsibility to serve with compassion. She was a lifelong learner and was working on completing a Doctorate Program in Education. Elvira was also strong in her faith. She was always willing to give of herself, and she was teaching a faith formation class at St. Anthony’s parish in Novato where she dedicated her time to teaching our young children the importance of loving one another and treating each other as we would want to be treated ourselves. She was committed to helping the children grow in their love for God and their faith. She loved deeply and was always ready to lend a hand.
