Emiel A. Banda

Lt. Col. (Ret., USAF) Emiel A. Banda - Lt. Col. (Ret., USAF) Emiel Banda passed away in Petaluma on March 4, 2008. Devoted husband for 67 years to Dolores Banda of Petaluma. Loving father of Gale Banda, Dale Banda and his wife Karen all of Petaluma and Del Banda and his wife Diane of Rohnert Park. Dedicated grandfather of Vance Patterson and his wife Lauren, Lynn Fisher and her husband Doug, Alisha Banda, Gary Banda and Justin Banda and great grandfather of Connor, Cicely and Catherine Patterson, and Parker and Hannah Fisher. Dear brother of Kay Lucchesi and Rosemarie Banda both of San Francisco. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. A decorated Air Force pilot who flew combat missions in WWII, the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam War. He was awarded numerous medals, including the distinguished flying cross and other honors during his 29 years of loyal and dedicated service. He was a hero to his country, family and friends.
