Emil J. "Jim" Baroni

Passed away in Petaluma, CA, March 5, 2013, beloved husband for 71 years of Pierina Baroni. Loving father of Darlene Baroni of San Rafael and the late James John Baroni. Dear grandfather of Kevin Baroni of San Rafael and the late Rachelle Baroni. A native of Fort Bragg, CA, age 92 years. Jim, well known in the area began his meat cutting career in 1934 and retired some 42 years later. He worked for several markets in the area and was a partner in B&B Meat on Western Avenue in Petaluma, before operating his own ranch butchering business on Valley Ford Road. He was a former member of the Santa Rosa Sons of Italy and active in the Accordion Club. Jim was a proud member of the U.S. Naval Reserve. He and his wife, Pierina Bordessa, were married on December 28, 1941 at Church of the Assumption in Tomales. Visitation will be held, Monday, March 11, 2013 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. The Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Family and friends are also invited to meet on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the mortuary at 10:15 am, thence to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. The family prefer that memorials be made to your favorite charity.
