Emilia S. Escobar

Emilia S. "Emily" Escobar - Passed away on November 23, 2007 in Los Banos, CA. Devoted wife of the late Jose Escobar. Beloved daughter of the late Maria and John Brazil. Adored sister of Vital Brazil of Petaluma, Maria Bettencourt of Gilroy, Brites Pedrigal of the Azores, and the late Manuel Brazil of the Azores. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age: 78 years. A Member of: St. Vincent de Paul Church and SPRSI. Emily was born, reared, and educated in Sao Jorge, Azores. Upon moving to the U.S., she settled in Santa Clara in 1957 and later moved to Petaluma in 1970. Since 1990, she has resided in Gilroy and then moved to Los Banos in May 2007. Friends and family are invited to meet on Saturday, December 1, 2007 after 9:45 AM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA (763-4131) thence to St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Pkwy., Petaluma, where at 11:00 AM a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Spiritual bouquets are preferred by the family. Interment: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma.
