Emma Rose Kazarian, age 95 passed away peacefully at her home on August 28, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 12, 1922, in Huron, Ohio, to John and Marie Markovich.
Emma was a devout Catholic and was very active at St. Eugene's Cathedral, where she went to daily mass and frequently lead the rosary. She was also a member of numerous Catholic societies, including St. Vincent de Paul's, the Legion of Mary and the Altar Society. Emma was very generous with her time and often visited the sick at hospitals and nursing facilities with Father Gary Sumpter.
Emma worked for over 30 years as an office manager for a heavy equipment company in San Francisco. She retired from work in 1975 and moved to Santa Rosa to be near her mom and dad. She met her beloved husband, Hike Kazarian, at St. Eugene's Cathedral and they were married in 1987. Her favorite hobbies were sewing and painting with oils. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, visiting with friends and family and watching sports on TV. She loved animals, especially her little poodle, "Chekpa", who would sit quietly with her in the church pew during mass. Emma was kind, selfless and thoughtful and always put others before herself. She will never be forgotten.
Emma was preceded in death by her siblings, Marie, John and Charlie, and her late husband, Richard Claymore, father of her stepchildren Cindy, Jane and Richard. She is survived by her husband Hike Kazarian, his children Steven, Thomas, Alan, Denise and Marilyn, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Cathedral of St. Eugene, 2323 Montgomery Dr., Santa Rosa. The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL, 4321 Sonoma Hwy., Santa Rosa. Entombment: Calvary Cemetery, Santa Rosa.
