Beloved husband of Janet, loving father to Michael, Kimberly, and Mark. Father-in-law, who made you feel loved and welcome to Heather, Daria and Steve.
Grandfather who thought his grandchildren hung the moon to; Kathryn, Lindsay, Hannah, Brittany, John, Mikie, Olivia, Joseph, Benjamin, Grace, Colin and Tyler.
The most wonderful great grandfather to Matthew, Hayden, Lailani, Kaylee, Alana, Gabriel, Harper, Kolbe, Elaina, Evelyn, Lucas, Quinn, Aurora, Adeline, Piper and Emilea.
Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Lotty, his brother Eddie, and his sister Joy. Survived by his loving sister Gay.
If you ask anyone who truly know Ernie, you would know that Janet was the great love of his life. Always her protector, partner, and friend. Their love spanned 58 years filled with family, friends, volunteering and always taking care of everyone around them. Their love was always strengthened by their faith and God was always at the center of their marriage and the family they raised.
Ernie was a great Union Labor Leader, but to Ernie family was always the most important part of life. He instilled this value in his children and continued this tradition in his grandchildren and and great grandchildren.
The love he shared with his family was returned by all his family throughout his lifetime culminating during the end of his life. His death was a witness to the amazing life he lived and the values he instilled.
To Ernie his faith was how he maneuvered the path through the difficult times of life as well as a part of every celebration and he was never shy in professing his beliefs.
While Ernie is reunited with family and friends, we here will be missing his smile, laugh, smart aleck comments and his presence,
This great man left an indelible mark on all our lives and we will honor his memory and pass it on to future generations.
