Ernestine D. Ameral

ERNESTINE D. AMERAL passed away on November 18, 2015 in Petaluma at the age of 103 years. Devoted wife of the late August Ameral. Cherished mother of Donald Ameral (Eleanor) of Petaluma. Beloved grandmother of Steve Ameral of Sebastopol and Mark Ameral (Kara) of Santa Rosa. Adored great-grandmother of Jacob Ameral (Daidra) and Erin Fessler (Jon) all of Santa Rosa. Loving sister of George DeSilva of N. Fork, CA; predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ernestine was born, at home, on Aug. 26, 1912 in Sebastopol, where she spent her life, raising her son and taking care of her home. She was very active in her parish, St. Sebastian's Church in Sebastopol, and willingly gave her time to the Altar Society. Ernestine also enjoyed being a member of the Sebastopol Holy Ghost Society and participating in the festas. In her spare time, she enjoyed completing puzzles, playing bingo, and the occasional trip to River Rock. Above all, Ernestine loved her family. She was a wonderful woman; she will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank everyone at Genesis House for their care of Ernestine. Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Liturgy on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma.
