Estella R. Joy

Estella Ramona Joy, loving sister, mother and grandmother, passed away September 22, 2023, at the age of 70.

Estella was born in San Francisco on January 10, 1953, to Charles and Gloria Torres, joining what would ultimately become a family of nine. After Estella graduated from Jefferson High School, she went to work for Pacific Bell as an operator, where she remained until she went out on disability retirement in 1991.

Estella did not let her disability stop her from volunteering her time and crafting abilities to the local chapters of The Pioneers and VFW, often crafting items for their various Winter Fairs and Craft events. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing and spending time with her family.

Estella was preceded in death by her mother Gloria Torres, her father Charles Torres and, her sister Gloria Flores. She is survived by her siblings Andrea, Charlie, Aurea, Roberta and Donald, her son Keone (Jessica) and her three grandchildren Payton, Gage and Killian.

There will be a memorial service for Estella on Friday, October 20, 2023 11:00am – 5:00pm with a rosary service at 3:00pm, at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma.
